On Wednesday, 23 October 2013 the Hans-Seidel-Stiftung and the Deutsch Arabische Freundschaftsgesellschaft e.V. will organize an expert meeting in Munich to discuss the effects of the crisis in Syria on the whole region. An important aspect of this will be the 2 million refugees, the majority of which are hosted by neighbouring countries. Dr. Dietmar Elm, Deputy Director of the German Institute for International Cooperation, former Ambassador of Germany in Syria and Director of the German Orient-Institute, and Thomas Gebhard, project-manager of the Hans-Seidel-Stiftung in Jordan will participate.
